End of Year Video

This is such a bittersweet time of the year! Summer is always an appreciated change, but I always feel a certain sadness in saying good-bye to my sweet firsties! We have grown into such a family in the classroom and each and every student holds aspecial place in my heart!

Summer Review Websites

I wanted to pass along a great resource I found from A Year of Many Firsts.  The following are wonderful, educational websites for your child to explore over the summer to prevent the summer slide.

Field Trip to the Aquarium

We had a great time yesterday visiting the aquarium and connecting to everything we learned as we studied the ocean! Below are some images from the day. 

 

 

Happy 100th Day of Learning!

We had a great day today celebrating 100 days of learning! When students walked in this morning, they were given a ticket.  On their ticket were 12 activities. Our goal was to earn 100 points by completing 10 activities, worth 10 points each. Actvities were spread throughout the day in whole group and stations.  Some of them included writing about what it would be like to be 100 years old, counting how many times we can do certain things in 100 seconds, making a list of  number sentences that equal 100, creating a chain with 100 objects on it, graphing 100 beads, plus many more!
